New York-based portrait and travel photographer Robert Whitman loves to create commercial work with spontaneity, and his email and social media marketing is refined and, of course, encased in black since he is a New Yorker.

His email marketing is sent through Constant Contact, for personal contacts and new permission-based subscribers, and to industry contacts he bought from Agency Access. Contact me to update and manage your email marketing.

 

It’s important to know the man behind the camera, so I asked his studio to interview his experience and offer an insight into his assignment for SLOW watches. View the full email design.

The call to action in the email will allow you to read the interview on it’s own page and as captions below the images, and on his social media.

Robert loves to share his work and personal travels, I created an email template in Constant Contact to look like his website. For brand consistency, I created a custom HTML design for emails sent through Agency Access. We invited Agency Access’ database contacts to subscribe to permission-based email marketing using Constant Contact to build his personal database.

When the images and graphics are blocked by email browsers, you can include the Alt Text to describe what can not be seen. Notice “Allow email to show images” appears at the top left corner of the email, but it disappears after enabling the graphics to be viewed. When the image does not appear in the email, you see instead “Click here to view my favorite place in the world.”
